Aside from being a composer of contemporary music, Rob is a singer-songwriter in his own band Secrets of Napoleon and plays drums for Dutch rock group Agua de Annique. He occasionally works as a guest musician.

His compositions include works for all kinds of ensembles and electronic music. Credits also include songs and string arrangements for pop/rock music.
