Rob Snijders was educated in classical percussion and jazz drumming. He developed a career mainly as a rock musician.

He plays drums for Dutch rock group Agua de Annique (led by his wife Anneke van Giersbergen) and is a singer-songwriter in his own band Secrets of Napoleon. He occasionally works as a guest musician.

His compositions include works for all kinds of ensembles and electronic music.
